Biography


Eric Coffey has received numerous scholarships and awards for his music including being elected into the National Music Honor Society, Pi Kappa Lambda in 2003, awarded a graduate scholarship for "Outstanding Composition Student" and a published author in "The Least You Should Know about English" by Paige Wilson.

Music has been in Eric’s family for generations, his grandfather played the lute, his grandmother played the guitar and his father played the piano and organ for regular family recitals. Eric started studying piano at the age of eight. As a teenager Eric found his niche in the guitar and dedicated himself to the instrument. He took that dedication to CSU Northridge and earned a Bachelor and Master in Music.

Eric worked in Music Publishing for three years and earned the Decrescendo award for his role in saving the company the most money in a single year in his department's work on converting printed books to .pdf documents for the digital press.

Currently, Eric lives in the West Los Angeles area, he gigs regularly and teaches private lessons.
